New procedures and changes to VisionBuilder:
- Tachistoscope (VisionBuilder Office):
- Office version does now include a
tachistoscope. Flash one of the images on a white screen. The patient should
close his/her eyes and visualize the flashed image, then open the eyes and
draw on the board the image that was seen. In the beginning, several flashes
may be required for them to get the image and successfully reproduce it in
the same shape and size it appeared on the screen. As their rate of success
increases, reduce the number of flashes until they are successful with only
one flash.
- After the patient draws the image, open the picture so
the drawing can be checked against the original shape immediately. If too
large or small or the incorrect shape, try it again. Don't rush through this
step. Be as sure as you can be that they are really visualizing the image in
their mind before you go on.
- Hart Chart
- By printing these computer generated charts you will be able to
perform a number of procedures like for instance Flashlight Pointing,
Column Reading and of course Hart Chart (near - far focus change). Many
therapists have experienced that their patients have rather quickly been
able to recall quite much of the Hart Chart without even looking at it.
You can now print new computer generated charts with a difficulty setting
of your own choice.
When working with suppression there also is an option for printing red
letters. Remove the blue filter from the red/blue goggles and use the red
filter on the dominant eye. This way the suppressing eye will have to start
working to be able to read the red letters.
- Randot duction
- It is now possible to
adjust the depth of the circles. When clicking the Options button you can
also do a number of adjustments like changes to resolution and size.
- DirectX is now used to draw the images more
quickly.
